Had root canal. Tongue still numb. Why?!

Question: Had root canal!. Tongue still numb!. Why!?
Ok it's been 4 days now!. I had a root canal!. All the novocaine wore off but the tip of my tongue along with several of my bottom gums where the root canal was done is still numb!. Did the dentist hit a nerve that he shouldn't have when he gave me the injection and if so am I now stuck the rest of my life this way or will it go away!? Would this be considered malpractice!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Sometimes a dentist will accidently hit a nerve and cause numbness in an area!. Feeling should eventually return, but if it doesn't within a week or two, call the dentist and ask about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

DO YOU KNOW THE PAIN OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT ITS NORMAL AFTER 3 OR 4 DAYS AFTER ENDODENTI IF YOUR PROBLEM IS NOT BE OK ,YOU SHOULD GO TO YOUR DENTIST AGAIN AND TAKE THE X RAY PHOTO F ROM THE TOOTH YOU HAD ENDODENTI AND YOU CAN BE SURE WHATS YOUR PROBLEM AND I TELL IF WE DONT HAVE A LINGUAL NERVE NEAR FRONT TEETH UP AND DOWN AND MAYBE HEDONT CLEAN THE CANAL VERY WELL AND HE FORGOT THE PART OF NERVE ,Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah, I'm with Anna E - except I think I would call the dentist's office now and tell them what's going on!. Either way, even if he did "hit a nerve" its unlikely he did any lasting damage!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
