How to get healthier gums?!

Question: How to get healthier gums!?
I just got back from the dentist and he told me that my gums are not very healthy!. I have been battling with this problem my whole life and I am only in my early 20's!. He said that some people just build plaque up!. He told me to use an electric tooth brush to gently massage my gums (I did get one 6 months ago and started using up to 2 months ago when I had to had mouth surgery for a pulled muscle)!. I did feel like the toothbrush helped!. He also told me to use Act mouth wash!. I drink about a can or two of Mountain Dew a day, which he told me was the worse thing I could be drinking!. After him telling me that I am definitely not going to be drinking any more!. I was just wondering if all of this is true and what can help my gums get healthier!? Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The problem with sugary drinks is that it gets between your teeth and all the other hard-to-reach places!.

I was in your shoes a couple of years ago!. I was in my late 20's, and I had just had braces put on to correct my bite!. My orthodontist gave me horrible advice and my dentist was ready to send me to a periodontist (one who specializes in gums)!. With good care, I was able to heal my gums and reduce the pockets from 5 & 6's to 2 & 3's!.

If you don't know what pockets are, that's when they measure how far they can go from the tooth up into your gum before it stops!. The farther they can go, the more the gums have receded from the tooth, and the worse off you are!.

Anyway, here it is!. An electric toothbrush can help, but it can't do all the work!. You have to make sure you are getting all the areas and pay special attention to the area around your gums!. Don't press hard, use only gentle pressure, but be sure to spend enough time!. A good 3 minutes at least!. Make sure that after you brush your teeth at night, you have nothing to eat or drink (except plain water) until the morning!.

The reason for this is the sugars and acids that are in the foods/drinks will have all night to wreak havoc on your teeth and gums unless you get it off by brushing!. So make your oral care routine the last thing you do each night!.

FLOSS! This is probably the single most important thing you can do for your gum health!. I know it's time-consuming, but believe me, it works!. Floss EVERY DAY, preferably at night!.

After you have flossed, use Listerine!. Swish it around really good, don't just let it sit in your mouth!. You need to get it all over and in between your teeth!. I know it burns, but again, it works!. Surely you can go through 45 seconds of discomfort once a day for the sake of your gums!. If your gums aren't healthy, you risk losing your teeth!. I've used Listerine for years now, and it still burns, but you get used to it!.

Do these things religiously, and your gums will thank you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it's true!. Brush at least 3 times daily going over the gums in a circular motion and floss at least once daily, usually before bedtime!.!. Also, get a rubber tip and message your gums daily!. I've battled this problem myself for years and have had periodontal surgery!. It can get better, but it takes a lot of work!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I get my teeth cleaned 4 times a year!. Twice by my dentist and twice by a periodontist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have to floss, get the plaque from between your teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Healthy gums appear pink and firm!. A good program of oral hygiene must be maintained lifelong to be able to avoid the disease to recur!. Possible complications can happen once dental health is given less priority such as recurrence of periodontitis, tooth abscess, infection or abscess of the soft tissue, infection of the jawbone, trench mouth, mobile or lost teeth, and tooth flaring or shifting!. Call a medical professional as soon as possible!. A dentist must be consulted if there are any present signs of gingivitis!. Or seek help of a periodontist if gum disease is advanced, he or she may recommend or require that you undergo periodontal surgery, if the disorder is already irreversible!.

The use of natural oral care products are helpful for adults and children as it can help protect teeth from oral bacteria causing gum infections!. Have a dental visit, specially if you have problems with cavities!. Prevent gum disease or gum infection by brushing teeth twice a day, floss teeth thoroughly, eat a balanced diet and make sure that you regularly visit your dentist for check ups and cleanings!. Do not use tobacco products!. A big part of good oral health is knowing how to brush and floss the right way!. Take the time to brush carefully and gently along the gum line!. Scraping tongue can also be helpful!. Keep your gums and teeth healthy with the use of dental floss as it can help remove plaque and food debris that a brushing cannot reach and clean!.
