Cataract removal Private or NHS?!

Question: Cataract removal Private or NHS!?
Have just visited my optician and been given the news that I have cataracts forming in both eyes!. I had noticed my eyesight was slightly worse hence the visit to the optician!. Is it worth waiting until my eyesight gets worse and have the operation under the NHS or to go private and get it over with now!? has anyone any idea of how much this would cost please!? - I have been told to return to be tested in 6 months - also is it best to have this procedure under a full anaesthetic!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You can get the surgery on the NHS when the time is right to have them removed!. Sooner is not always better with cataracts!.
It's a day proceedure, yo can go home after a few hours!. It's always done with a LOCAL anesthetic!. You have to be awake when having it done!. Takes about ten minutes, no problem!.
My mum had it done!. I've had eye surgery (not cataract) done under a local anestheic as well!.
Don't worry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cataracts are operated on in both the NHS and the private sector, but only when they are 'ready'!. Until then an ophthalmic surgeon will not do the op!.
Meanwhile you can enlarge the typeface on your computer and look at the options re eye treatment in your area and find out the best one for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
