Had braces when I was younger and now my teeth are not straight.?!

Question: Had braces when I was younger and now my teeth are not straight!.!?
I had braces when I was younger and went through a lot to get straight teeth!. I am a bad girl and didn't wear my retainer like I was supposed to and now my teeth are crooked again!. They are not as bad as they were (only one of the front teeth is a little crooked and the bottom look a little crowded)!. Is there anything thing the orthodontist can do to make them straighter with out braces again!? I will NOT put braces on again!. I have heard of the Invisaline product and wasn't sure how much they cost and how well they worked!. Also, do you think they could straighten it with a retainer!? I plan on going to the orthodontist to get this all worked out but wanted to know a few options before I go!. Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Here are your options!.

Invisalign is just as expensive (if not more so) than regular braces!. They are less noticeable if that is the issue you have the problem with, but you do still see them!. Some orthodontists will not use them!.

Regular braces and/or invisalign may not even be an option for you!. If your roots shortened quite a bit when your braces were on when you were younger, they may be too short now and attempting to move them will cause them to shorten more and your teeth will just fall out!. An x-ray and a consult with an orthodontist will let you know whether your roots can take the abuse!.

It's unlikely they can fix badly misaligned teeth with just a retainer!. I know you are saying they only look a little crooked, but by the time you can see any crookedness, they are bad!.

If you are dead set against getting braces or invisalign, then the only other option is to have a retainer made for how your teeth are now!. It won't correct the problem you have now, but it will keep it from getting worse!.!.!.provided you have learned your lesson and will wear it every night :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You would need some type of orthodontic treatment if you want to straighten your teeth!. If you don't want to go through braces then Invisalign is of course an option!. Invisalign uses a series of removable clear plastic aligners (which look like whitening trays) which you need to replace every couple of weeks!. They are clear and not noticeable!. Very comfortable and do not affect your social life!. The cost varies per case but its between $6000 and $9000 (total of the treatment, inclusive of every appointment) depending on the severity of each case!.
The only other way to stop your teeth from getting worse if you don't wish to have any orthodontic treatment would be to get new retainers made!.
