6 year old son with double teeth?!

Question: 6 year old son with double teeth!?
My 6 year old son's front tooth is loose!. Today while checking his teeth, I noticed a new (permanent) tooth coming up behind the loose tooth!. So it's like one in the front and another behind it!. Should I take him to the dentist or should i just wait until the loose one drops and the one behind will come to the front!. A lil worried here!.

Thank you :) No silly answers please!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Working in a pediatric dental office , we get this and similar
calls about "shark teeth" quite a bit!.

While there is an average time that kids lose teeth, and the new
ones erupt, it differs for every patient!. Optimally, they loose a tooth
before it's replacement erupts, but when this doesn't happen there is
no need to worry!.

The dentist I work for will usually see the patient to check the situation
and 9/10, he doesn't do anything!. The most common reason he removes the baby tooth is if he is experiencing any pain associated with the eruption issue!.

Just call and make an exam appointment to see the dentist to put your mind at ease!. Even if it's a worse case scenario and he recommends the baby tooth come out, the root will have already mostly dissolved and the extraction would be quick and easy!.

if the permanent tooth has erupted arond 1/3 of its length and the baby tooth is not very mobile the you should isit your dentist and get that removed!. For more infomation on children dentistry you can visit the following very informative website!.

One of my kids did that, just wait unless it is painful enough to go to the dentis!. That adult tooth is just in a hurry and will push the baby on out!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't stress about it he his only 6!. Wait til his loose tooth falls and keep an eye in the permanent tooth!. It should go and align itself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
