Wisdom teeth sedation options?!

Question: Wisdom teeth sedation options!?
I 'm 17 and i think my wisdom teeth are coming in!. I have braces for 2 1/2 years now and i'm afraid that my wisdom teeth will mess my teeth up!. So i'm thinking that i will have to have them extracted!. I have an anxiety problem so i could NOT be awake for the extraction! So would general anesthesia be a good option!? Does general anesthesia put you COMPLETELY out cold!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I personally was completely put under, but I have friends who were just sedated with a pill but were awake for the whole thing, so it depends on what your oral surgeon wants to do, don't freak out about it it, i was so nervous before hand, and it was definitely the before that was worse than the after, as long as you ice on and off the first 24 hours, take pills and follow dentist's instructions chances are it won't be bad, mine went perfectly well and I have a bad history with dentistsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I had sedation, the one that they put a small needle in your arm or back of hand ( I prefer back of hand) and I didn't remember a thing! Not as intense as a general so you can go home straight after with someone looking after you though, talk it over with your dentist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you actually go and have your wisdom teeth taken out, you usually meet with the oral surgeon and talk with him about it!. You should discuss your options for anesthesia with him!. Ask him if you can be put to sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
