Open bite help please help me?!

Question: Open bite help please help me!?

i'm 14 and i have an open bite and i currently have braces (7 months for the top teeth 5 months for the bottom teeth) how can i get my open bite to be corrected!? like can braces pull back your jaw in some sort of way and change my appearance!?

I would hope that your orthodontist has included dealing with the open bite in his/her plan to straighten your teeth!. Sometimes, severely open bites can only be made to look more cosmetically pleasing, but still open, because it's too big!. Those open bites usually require surgery to repair!. Also, the way you developed an open bite is important!. A "tongue-thrust" habit will quickly reopen a bite after ortho treatment!.
So, totally check with the orthodontist to ask what the plans are for the open biteWww@Answer-Health@Com
