Question: Can i have a dental crown made to look exactly like my other teeth!?
i have a crown on one of my front teeth but it hardly looks like or fits in with the rest of them, my teeth arent perfect but they looked good before i had the crown there when my dentist used to just fill the gap with something else, he said it is only temporary!. the crown is like a solid white colour, and my teeth are hav slightly worn enamel so it just makes the crown look more obvious is there anything i can do about this!? thanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Actually yes!. It's amazing what they can do today with crowns and veneers!. I would go see a cosmetic dentist, they'll be able to match your other teeth much better by far than a normal dentist!. There are also some general dentists that are great though so shop around!. Insurance probably won't cover it because they'll consider it cosmetic so make sure that you find someone who'll do a great job! Because it's a front teeth and you can't really make changes to the crowns later on I'd consider bleaching your teeth first!. I'm not saying that they're yellow or anything, but if you can get your teeth to the ideal shade that you would want when they make the crown to match exactly you'll be happy!. I can't tell you how many patients we have come in and want to bleach their teeth but can't because their crown won't match anymore!. Just head that one off to begin with!. I'd also do solid porcelain!. Most good dentists would recommend that but a lot still to the porcelain fused to metal ones on the front teeth, they look nowhere near as natural!.

If you have a porcelain crown they will mark the colour of your teeth on a chart in relation to the yellow tinge and the crown will be made to this scheme!.
