ok so i had braces for about 3 months now!. I have braces with regular wires are rubber bands kind of like this: --[]--[]--[]--[] and i have seen people with braces like this: ><><><><><><

I have those and they are called chains they close any spaces that you have in your teeth but I didn't get them until later on after I got my braces on!. My Ortho said that in a couple weeks I will be getting these things called Elastics, elastics stretch from the top or your mouth to the bottom of your mouth!. I'm sure there are others that I haven't discovered yet lol!. Glad I could help!. And chains really arn't "other kinds of braces" they are just add ons I guess, so everyone starts out with these: --[]--[]--[]--[]--[]--[] but later on you might get something different done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I really don't know but oh thank you so much for commenting on my question! I have been so scared about braces! but i'm glad i went on her and got real peoples advise!. I'm still a bit nervous but the advise

those are just different ligatures!. most people get them during the middle-end of their orthodontic treatment!. ligatures are the rings that keep the wire on the bracket!. in the beginning they're O shaped!. towards the end they're connected!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
