Temporary filling has fallen out - what do I do?!
Question: Temporary filling has fallen out - what do I do!?
I had a tooth which the dentist filled, but still had some decay in it!. I got an abcess, so an emergency dentist released the pressure from my tooth, removed my nerve and gave me a temporary filling!. She said I'd have to have a root canal when it was possible!. The temporary filling has now fallen out and I can't get a dentist appointment until Tuesday!. Can I eat on it!? It's just a big hole!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to the pharmacy and get some temporary filling material and fix it yourself - at least until you can get to the dentist!. I believe it goes under the name of DenTek!. This product will form a temporary hard filling which will allow you to eat and what not!. I've used it in the past and it usually holds up for 2-3 days and then needs to be done again!.
