My Friends Braces PAIN!?!
Question: My Friends Braces PAIN!!?
She's had braces for about 8 months, thursday (Today's Saturday), she got a heavier wire on the bottom and heavier in the upper corners!. They are bonding her teeth!. She has rinsed with salt water, took Ibuprofen, put some Orajel in the corners!. She has only been able to eat foods like yogurt, Fruity Pebbles cereal, and ice cream sandwiches!. Anyways her corners feel sooo much better, they don't really hurt but her bottom front teeth are the teeth that are hurting!. She wants to try to actually eat something today besides the ice cream sandwiches, yogurt and cereal!. She really wants to try to eat a soft, thin hamburger at Mcdonald's, popcorn chicken, fries, or pizza, things that actually require chewing!. So is there any little ways to help the pain go away fast!? Also she would like the pain to go away in two hours! (Her mouth is KILLING her, she's almost at the point of tears because her teeth hurt so bad)!. And her gums are not sore!. It's mainly the teeth!.

I had braces and they always hurt when you get the wires changed!. Sometimes it takes quite a few days for your mouth to settle down and stop hurting after the wires are adjusted!. all you can really do is wait til your mouth settles down!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Hello!.!.Ok, she apparently has done all the usual things that helps reduce discomfort!.!.!.If she needs something stronger she will "have" to go to her dentist for that kind of help!.!.!.!.!.Sounds like she's thinking that she wants an RX for a controlled pain drug!.!.!.While that may or may not be justified, the dentist will have to make that call!. i have had braces since march and they do hurt when you get a thicker wire so she is probably just going to have to suck it up, sorry, call the orthodontist see what he/she says, try some more orajel
