Question: Should i try to become an orthodontist or pediatric dentist!?
i'm a junior in high school and i'm trying to decide between these two careers!.what are the pros/cons,do they both have the same pay,and what all would i have to study!?

Maybe you should wait until you get to dental school!. You will have to study regular dentistry first, and once there you would see what you like better!. Most orthodontic patients are children when they first get the braces, so you would follow them from about age 10 to teen years!. If you love children and have a way with them, able to calm them , joke with them reassure them etc, then pediatric dentistry might be the way to go!. But first get to school and decide when you get there!. Also when you get there you might find something totally different that you may like!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
It might be best if you speak with an actual dentist or orthodontist!. Do you know of anyone or does your dentist know of one!? They are the best people to speak with about their experiences, education, why they like what they do, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
