What is the difference between a splint and a night guard?!


Question: What is the difference between a splint and a night guard!?
I know the answer seems obvious one is for at night!.
I finally after 23 years of having migraines was diagnosed with T!.M!.J!. So I came home and did some research and found that there is a splint as well as the night guard my dentist recommended a night guard but I always clench and would rather be able to wear it all day if possible especially if I have a headache!. Can some one help me outWww@Answer-Health@Com

These two terms are used interchangeably!. We could have a heavy academic discussion about the proper way to use either term, but what it comes down to is some people call them splints and some people call them night guards!. You can wear a so-called night guard in the daytime, too!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
