Question: Braces & sleeping question!?
Okay so i see my orthodontist on October 1st!. My braces are killing me!. If i smile sometimes my brackets like to click on to my cheeks and then when they come off it likes to tear my cheek!. Is this normal!? And also when i sleep i have noticed the wire likes to stick to my cheek!. Not just that when i wake up my mouth kills me because i have blisters then i have cuts that kill me and are very painful when my braces touch them!. What can i do!? I can't put wax on my wires because it doesn't stick it only sticks to my bracketsWww@Answer-Health@Com

It only happened to me once or twice but yeah it's normal!. Just try cleaning your teeth thoroughly and letting them dry a little after brushing and then sticking the wax on!. That worked better for me!. If there is a wire sticking out though that it always seems to get caught on, talk to the Orthodontist!. They could possibly bend the wire if it needs to be there so it cuts down on the getting caught or they can remove it if it isn't supposed to be there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
This is totally normal, it happened to me too!. You have to just tough it out!. Maybe ask the orthodontist for some advice next time you go, but he probably won't be able to do much for you!. I have springs though, and if you try to put wax on those it gets really bad stuck and hard to get out!. Your mouth will harden and get stronger after a while, then almost nothing will hurt the inside of your mouth!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Tell your orthodontist next time you see him,im sure he will know better than any1 else about this!.
I had braces myself and im confident there must be something wrong with your brace!. I had a problem with a fixed brace however where the wire was sticking out at the back which would stab me, I just told me orthodontist and he clipped it off, simple as that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had braces for a year, and the wax worked for me, you just have to dry and clean the bracket first, then it'll stick!. If not, you could invest in some Bonjela, or go back to your orthodontist, who's always able to help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Tell your othidontist it's painful and the metal is sticking into your cheek!. Maybe there is a bit of wire sticking out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
