Question: How often can a mouth guard for clenching be worn!?
My dentist is going to make me a mouth guard so when I clench it is not as painful on my jaw and head!. Is there anyone who wears theres more than just at night!?

Depends what kind they make!. The soft, rubbery tray type can be worn 24/7 as long as you keep it clean!. Probably take it out to eat and clean!. However, you probably won't want to wear it all the time at first!. Work your way up to that!. However, if your dentist is making the hard bite splint type, you probably will only be able to wear during the night b/c it will be difficult to talk with!. The biggest thing is keeping the tray clean b/c the more it it worn the faster they tend to stain!. Don't drink anything besides water with it in either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
