Teeth moving after finally taking retainer out?!

Question: Teeth moving after finally taking retainer out!?
I got my braces off a long time ago (like a couple of years ago or a little more)!. I wore my retainer every night but didn't wear it during the day that much!. I know you're supposed to wear it every day for a while but I just wore it at night!. (I know, bad)!. Well it's been a couple of years now since I've stopped wearing it every night and my teeth are moving!. I can feel them moving and it's really concerning me!. Do I need to keep wearing them!? It's not noticeable in the mirror but I know that if I tried to put the retainer back in it would not fit very well!.!.!.It has been about a week of not wearing it at all!.!.!.What do you think!? (It's been so long that I am not seeing my orthodontist anymore and haven't been for a while!.) I don't want to make my parents pay for braces again I would feel so irresponsible!. Please help I'm kind of OCD about this damn retainer!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ha that same thing is happening to me right now actually, but if youre retainer is able to fit but is just really tight, wear it!. Your teeth will hurt after but it's because they are moving back to the way they were!. Sounds like your shift is quite small!. So wearing your retainer can definitely fix it!. Try your best to make it fit, otherwise, your going to have to bring that retainer into the ortho and just tell them you need it to be refitted!. They refit retainers, and even though you stopped seeing them, doesn't mean you can't go back!.

Getting your retainer to fit again is really your best bet without braces, but i dont think braces are necessary for such a small shift!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure!. If you don't notice your teeth moving, then it's probably not too late!. I have the same problem!. I got my braces off a couple of weeks ago, and have been very dilligent in wearing my retainer, but the other day, my dog bent the one wire around, and overnight, it looks like my front two tooth may have moved!. I scheduled an appointment with the ortho, and maybe you should too!.

Hello!.!.OK, First,,"Retainers" are for ever if you want your teeth to stay where they were moved to!. Along the sides of a tooth down in the socket their are tiny ligaments that were twisted and stretched when the teeth were moved!.!.!.and guess what they resent that very much,,, in fact they dislike it so much that if given the chance they will pull the tooth back to it's original position!.!.!.!.!.I'm a little concerned that you feel the teeth are moving even though you "faithfully" have worn the retainer at night!.!.!.!.The reality is that wWww@Answer-Health@Com
