Hi, I'm a Dental nurse and I wouldn't really recommend an electric toothbrush as I think it might be too harsh for his gums!. A regular tooth brush is perfctly fine, maybe you try holding the brush and going around his mouth while your partner entertains the child by talking or singing etc!. And only use the smallest pea size amount of toothpaste if any at all!. My son is 5 and from an early age he has been familiar with a tooth brush and that he has to brush twice daily so be patient and try different ways to occupy him while you get the job done!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah i have twin boys about 2 and 1/2 and well brushing is almost a pointless endeavor!. I agree with the above person not sure doing that would be a long term pay off, but if it would get them to sit there and at least pretend to brush and get into that habit for later go for it!
I been looking at those ones that supposedly play music you can only hear when they make contact with the teeth for the same reason your looking at that, just to get a routine embedded in their head so its normal habit!.

So all in all i say get it and see if it works for you, these teeth fall out anyhow but its a good time to teach the habit!.

*side note to the guy above, they have baby toothpaste which contains nothing really, since they swallow it anyhow it doesn't contain the detergents and such adult toothpastes do!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. There are these electric toothbrushes that are small and have disney characters on them!. There are toy story, princesses etc!. types!. They really help young children start to brush!. But don't brush after a meal or fruit or somehing like that!. It wears down teeth and then your kid will have to undergo a painful experience of removing teeth, which my brother had to do when he was v young!.!.!.!.!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

no, you cant! their teeth are still too sensitive!.!.!.!.

its ok if you let him have some sweets!.!.!. he's gonna have to loose those baby teeth anyway!.!.!. one way, or the other( pull out all the baby teeth) --this happens when his permanent teeth starts to grow EVEN WHEN THERE ARE STILL BABY TEETH ON! ---this happened to my girlfriend!.!.!. she said she had the dentist pull out all her teeth to make way for her permanent teeth!.!.!. then braces!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

dont forget that Flouride, used in most toothpaste, is infact a poisonouse substance and may be very harmful to a small child if left to over do the amount use and the period of time!.
For more info read here,http://www!.tuberose!.com/Fluoride!.html

Yeah i'm sure that should be fine!. My cousin did that when he was a toddler!. It helped alot!. They make many of those electric toothbrushes for kids anyway, with Disney characters and such on them, as an incentive to brush their teeth!. I'd say go for it! Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sure you can as long as the head is really small, also at two he is still a bit uncoordinated and you should really be brushing his teeth for him, or for the most part!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Absolutely no problem with that!.!. Don't worry!.!. There is nothing wrong with that,, and no danger!.!. You are doing the right thing!.!. I got one for my daughter when she was 2,, and she loved it and developed great brushing habits!.!. Now she is 11 and still no cavities!.!. ;o) Www@Answer-Health@Com
