Question: Is it rare to be allergic to latex!?
cuz i was just looking up braces online and there was this youtube vid of a girl who had a huge allergic reaction to latex of braces and it scared me cuz im gonna have to get braces sometime in the next year and im just wondering!.

No,latex allergies have become more common, as people are exposed to latex way more than in the past!. I have a sensitivity,not a full blown allergy to latex,so I wear only non latex gloves when I work and use latex free masks and polishing angles and other products when possible!.My Mom, on the other hand,is very allergic to latex and gets swollen and has problems breathing when latex is used on her!.You would know already if you had a problem with latex, as most gloves and many products in the doctor's and dentist's office contain latex,even regular adhesive bandages have latex!Www@Answer-Health@Com
The problem with latex is that the more you are exposed to it, the more likely you are to develop an allergy to it!. That's why most surgical and medical gloves these days are made from a stretchy vinyl instead - the plant proteins in latex can't be removed!.
In the main population of people, who don't come into contact constantly with latex, allergies to it are rare!. But if you have to wear it on your skin every day, it only stands to reason that the proteins will infiltrate your system and cause a reaction!. Therefore, people like doctors, nurses, dishwashers and janitorial service workers should use a different kind of glove!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
