Answers:
Generally the pain will last no longer than a week!. Look at it as discomfort and also as a good thing because when they hurt that means your teeth are moving!.

The other good advice I can give you is not to bite into anything!. Use a fork cut pieces out of your food!. Then you can just guide it to the back of your teeth and that way you isolate any pain (and food) to your back teeth!.

Good luck and congrats on getting braces!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I got braces last Tuesday and it didn't hurt AT ALL, believe it or not!. No pain going on, I ate a cheeseburger and drank stuff within fifteen minutes!. I suggest Orajel and Advil!. Orajel is wonderful for those cheek cuts and Advil relieves some pain!. =DDWww@Answer-Health@Com

It will take a few days for pain to subside!. You can take tylenol or motrin for it!. It will be like this when they get tightened every 4-6 weeks too!. It's just the way it is!. Start taking tylenol before your ortho appt!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The pain will usually go away in 3-5 days!. It sucks, but it's true!. Try rubbing an ice cube along your gums to numb the pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
