Question: After you graduate from dental school, can you become a dentist immediately!?
While you are in the forth year or almost graduating from dental school, can you apply for a job as a dentist!?
Also do you have to have a dental assistant and if you pay for them, how does it cost!? Thanks so much!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on the state!. Most let you begin practicing immediately, as long as you've passed all the practical and written licensure exams!. Some states are now dropping the practical exam, but you have to do a 1-year residency in order to practice (New York does this, and I'm not sure sure of the others!.)
Dental assistants are probably necessary for any smoothly operating practice!. You can do 4-handed dentistry (makes appts MUCH faster and is better for your ergonomics) and they set up, clean, order supplies, take radiographs, etc!. It's MUCH better to invest in one!. I think they make anywhere from $10-15/hour!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
