Question: My dad wants to get dentures but he still has his teeth!?
Ok, my dads 55, and has trouble eating with his teeth!. They are in horrible condition really rotten like a pirates!. I can tell he's in pain and has very low self-esteem when he talks!. I just want him to be happy but first I was wondering if anyone can tell me what's the average cost to remove all his teeth and to get new dentures and can he eat with them!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Since you are located in RI, call 401-725-5777 it's a dental lab!. I did my dentures with them 2 month ago for $1200 for top & bottom!. I'm very happy with my dentures!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Each extraction is around 75-150 per tooth at a private dentist, or 40-60 at a dental school (there are three in Boston, so he may want to consider that: Harvard, Tufts, and BU!.) So multiply that by the number of teeth he'll be getting out!.
Then he'll need a temporary set of dentures for a few months while the bone fills in the tooth sockets!. These are a lot less than final dentures, but may still cost a few hundred dollars!. Final dentures are usually $1000-2000 per arch (so 2000-4000 total!.) Ask the dentist if a discount is given for the whole package!.

The average cost around here for all that work is around $6,000!. The sad thing is you can spend just as much or a lot more trying to have them repair your teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
