Question: I just got my Braces on!.!?
They hurt like no other!. What are some good foods to eat and still get all the nutrients i need for the day!. I am really sick with the flu because I'm not getting enough!. All I have right now is Honey Comes (cereal), Yogurt, go gurt, and nutigrain bars!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

How long have they been on!? The worst pain -for me- was within the first 3 days!. I completely sympathize with you; I know it hurts a lot!. Pain killers will work wonders after those first 3 days!. You will notice the difference at that stage because you will be able to eat normal foods much easier!. During those first 3 days though don't chew at all!. You'll want to but, don't even try it you'll hurt yourself so much and it's not worth it!. Right now eat anything that comes in liquids or purely swallow!. Soups can hold a lot of nutrients especially for the flu!. Try drinking things like V8 or other nutrient filling drinks!. The pain should ease and allow you to eat regular foods within a week!. My son just got his on and his teeth have been sore for 5 days!. The first few days he ate soup, oatmeal, pastina, banana's, apple sauce, pudding, jello!. You can have lentil soup (good nutrient), break bread in small pieces and put them way into the back of your teeth to chew (his front teeth bothered him the most, couldn't bite into anything)!. Drink smoothies and chocolate milk/reg milk!. You can have scrambled eggs, polenta, rice/rice pudding!. There are actually a lot of soft foods for you to eat that are nutritious!.
