Question: Dental Pain after extraction!?
Hi, I had a tooth extraction this morning, which has been bleeding on and off all day,but the tooth next to it near the back of my mouth is extremely sensitive now, hurts when I bite on it!.!. Is this normal after an extraction, and how long does the pain take to go!?!? Thankyou all!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Because the tooth which was removed was blocking the side of the tooth which is now sensitive, it is normal for it to be sensitive as that part of the tooth had never been used and has had pressure from the removed tooth for a long time!. Give it a day or two, I can guarantee that the sensitivity will go away :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Sometimes the teeth next to the extracted tooth is traumatized!. Sometimes the roots and nerves can be close to the tooth they took out!. I had the same thing happen, but it only lasted a day or so!. Try not to bite on it or mess with it with your tongue!. Take some pain pills and kick back and rest!. Hope you feel better soon!!!!!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Having a tooth extracted is bound to cause a fair bit of trauma to your mouth and even bruising!. If you can take something like neurofen to reduce the pain and swelling!. The pain could last a few days but if it doesn't settle or gets worse ring your dental practise for advice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yea your whole side of your mouth could hurt!. You had a major procedure done and your mouth is now recovering!. It will probably take a couple weeks before your mouth feels completely normal!. If your other tooth continues to hurt or gets worse than I would call your dentist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
My DH had a similar issue with his extraction!. The discomfort lasted about two weeks!. It decreased over time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
