Question: I have been wearing dentures for 3 yrs now, and it has NOT gotten any easier!.!.!.!?
and I am only 45 yrs old!. Due to genetics and meds taken for cancer, my gums were affected horribly leaving me no choice to embark on this difficult journey!. My question is , I have been seeing this wonderful man for the past 2 months!.!.believe it or not we have not kissed!. He has tried, but I just tell him I am not comfortable and due to pass relationships!. He is understanding, and NO!.!.!.he doesn't know I have dentures!. They are nice looking and sometimes on a good day I tend to forget myself, but those days are far few and in between!. My question is, is there really a way to get intimate without kissing during sex that is and it be enjoyable for him!? Only serious answers please!.!.!.!.no jokes, I have heard enough of them!. I don't know exactly what you are going through, but I can say I have watched my mom go through the same thing!. She was only 48 yrs old, getting dentures due to bone loss!. My father was very supportive, however it was my mom who didn't feel comfortable!. Being the only daughter she confided in me alot!. Kissing to her was the most intimate feeling 2 people could share!. She told me all the time how much she missed it!. She was always afraid my dad would leave her because she could not and would not kiss him on the mouth!. I personally think you should tell him, especially if you like him alot!. Seems to me there is more to you than your smile!.!.!.!.he must like alot of things about you as well!. 2 months is not 2 days!. I know later on down the line, my mom shared that she found solice in hugging and being caressed!. You know not all of us are so shallow about someone we care or love having dentures!. No one is perfect!.!.you may have dentures, but I bet you are a beautiful person on the inside and out!. Ever meet someone who was drop dead gorgeous only to find out how ignorant and self centered they were!? See!.!.!.!.just smile!.!.and open up to him!.!.I am sure he will gently kiss you back!. I would tell him "can i tell you something!?" and tell him that you have had cancer and that it caused you to have dentures!. If he doesn't like you because you have had this then he is not meant for you!. It might also help you rest a little easier!Www@Answer-Health@Com
What is making it uncomfortable!? The thought of him finding out you have dentures!? Be honest with him, tell him you what you went through and I'm sure he'd be understanding about it!. It's not like you neglected your teeth, it was something out of your control!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
I would be honest with him!. It is a very hard thing to do- admit to wearing dentures at any age!. If he is caring and compassionate, he should understand and respect your desire not to kiss!. You might just that you do ok with them!. You won't know until you try!. I have heard the more guarding you are of your mouth the more a guy will try to get in there!.
All of us who wear dentures have been affected by this concern as some point!. It has a lot to do with your own self confidence and the confidence you have in your dentures!. There is no shame in having them especially under the circumstances you have outlined!.

Hello, Ok!.!.you do indeed have a legitimate issue to deal with!.!.!.and it's one that is not restricted to the female population!.!.!.While I do understand your issue as I dealt with many such people like you during my active professional life in the dental field!. I have to first tell you that the chance of your lover realizing you wear dentures is most unlikely!.!.!.If you keep them and your mouth clean and odor free he will have no idea at all!.!.!.As for avoiding the kissing, how do you feel about him not touching your breast or other intimate areas !? Would you enjoy your sexual activity if he just jumped on your body, had intercourse, jumped off and then "held" your hand to make you feel good about the experience you just had!.!.!.!.!.I suspect that if you continue to avoid passionate kissing, your going to find that his "love making" will get mechanical and without much passion!.!.!.!.So, pucker up, give him some tongue and when his passion is physically obvious!.!.!.do him until he yells "Uncle" and pleads for a rest period!.!.!.!.!.then do him again!.!.!.Good luck and I wish you well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
