Question: Is it possible to get 17 years of plaque off you teeth!?
i havnt been the best brusher for the past 17 years (all my life) but now that i have braces i have been brushing normally!.!.!.my mouth isnt super bad i dont think, but anyway my question is!.!.!.!.!.is it possible to get plaque off your teeth once its there!? if so then what kind of toothpaste is best for the job!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it has been there a long time and is really 'fossilized on" you might have to go to get a real teeth cleaning and they will actually scrape it off (like scraping paint) with a special tool!. You can actually feel it scraping off inside your mouth when they do this, however it is unusual for it to get that bad!. Before you got braces put on, they might have already done this if they are the glued on kind, since I don't think they would stick to plaque very well!. If you are just referring to the regular crud that coats your teeth, it should come off with any decent tooth paste!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
of course its possible to get it off!. its not about the tooth paste but the way you brush!. get an electric toothbrush, those work best, and also make sure you go and get dental cleanings every 6 months because you have a higher risk of getting cavities when you have braces, Www@Answer-Health@Com
I reckon that in the process of getting your braces the dentist will have cleaned your teeth therefore the plaque will have been scraped off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
