i had my wisdom tooth out about a week ago!. i didn't think much of this because ei thought it was normal but i cannot open my mouth more than like half an inch!.!. i can barely even fit my toothbrush in my mouth!.!.!. my jaw just will not open!.!.!. i am getting very panicy and my follow up isn't until thursday my dentist isn't even in the office until then bc of the jewish holiday!.!.!. is there anything i could do to try to fix my mouth!? ive tried prying it open but the pain is unbearable i don't know if i should just go to the hospital or what!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, you just really bruised the muscles and they are sore!. It kinda like pulling a muscle when you have run really hard or after you've done too many sit ups!.
Use an anti-inflammatory like advil or aleve!. Use a warm moist wash cloth on your cheeks to loosen up the muscles!. Then gently open you mouth a little wider than you had been!. You will be stretching the muscles to their normal range!.
It can take a few days to get to where you are feeling like you are getting somewhere!. You need to start working on this now, cause it won't get easier with time!. Don't overdo it, but do work them!.
