Question: Help! pregnant girl with raging toothache! :-(!?
Hi there
I have recently had a filling and it has since become infected- i haven't slept for 2 nights and the pain is so unbearable that i don't know what to do with myself! I cant sleep or eat and I'm only allowed paracetamol because I'm pregnant- but they don't even touch it!
Today i was perscribed some antibiotics by my dentist but they havnt started working yet -
any ideas on how to survive the night!?!?

I was going to suggest paracetamol for you, but I see thats no help at all!. When I was younger, my mum used to put Oil of Cloves on painful teeth but you might not have that in your medicine chest!.
Im sorry I cant be more help for tonight!. I know how much you must be suffering, but I think you should go back to your dentist, or even your doctor, tomorrow and ask them what else you can take for the pain so that you dont have another sleepless night!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. Don't take anything but Penicillin for the infection!.
Any other antibiotic will harm the baby!.
I hope your dentist gave you just plain Penicillin!.
2!. Don't take anything but plain Paracetamol / Tylenol (Acetaminophen) for pain!.
Again, other stuff will be harmful to your baby!.
My sister-in-lsw wouldn't listen and kept on taking Aspirin!. Her child was born with cleft lip and palate!. The doctors said most likely that was because of the Aspirin!.
3!. Apply ice pack on your face where it hurts!.
Unfortunately, you cannot do anything more than that!.
Ideally, you would want to be in your 2nd trimester to get any definitive treatment done!.
In your 1st and 3rd trimester you can be prone to miscarriage / premature delivery!.
No one will perform an extraction on you during these trimesters!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
