I had my filling early this morning and now i hav very bad tooth ache and m tooth seem 2 hurt wen hot or cold touches it!. Is it normal for it to hurt !?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi I had a filling the other week and it was a bit sensitive to hot and cold for a couple of days and then it settled down and it is fine now!. If it is no better after a few days contact your dentist!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Sometimes the tooth aches after getting the filling because of the trauma caused by cavity cutting and the pulp gets irritated but this is reversable and goes within a day or two!. It is normal!. The dentist was drilling and poking around on your tooth so when the novacaine wears off you will have some pain!. Take some ibuprofen (400-600mg every 6 hours should help with the pain!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com
It sounds like a large filling!. Your tooth is traumatized by the drilling!. Just take it easy for now!. If in doubt, call your dentist for adviseWww@Answer-Health@Com
