Currently, the University of Sydney accepts applications from people who have completed (or are in their final year of) a Bachelors degree with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4!.0 or above for their Bachelor of Dentistry!. This can be any sort of degree, including the Bachelor of Oral Health!. The University of Melbourne will be providing a post graduate degree which would qualify you to be a dentist but the details on admission are a bit sketchy at the present time (I believe that the course will start in 2011)!.
The best place to get advise on this is to contact the university which you intend on applying to (there are far too many to go into detail here)!.
I'm currently studying the Bachelor of Oral Health and it's a great course (there is a heavy workload though)!. I wonder what your reservations are about studying dentistry!. Ultimately, the two courses are very similar; perhaps you should do some work experience (if you haven't already) with a Dental Therapist, Dental Hygienist and a Dentist, to see if this is really where you want to be heading!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
