Question: Getting braces tomorrow, some questions!?
well, I'm getting braces tomorrow and I am scared to death!. I don't know what to expect!. What do they do!? I heard they don't hurt right after you get them, that it just takes a few hours for the pain to kick in!. Also, a tooth on the bottom row was suppost to come in 2 years ago and it didn't!. My orthodontist says I might have to get a ortho surgeon to cut open my gum so it will grow in!? It looks pretty cramped in my eyes and my gum is somewhat white around where it is suppost to come in!. So do you think once my bottom teeth straighten out a bit, it will grow in!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah I had the same thing, my tooth wouldn't grow in but once i got braces a few weeks later it grew in, because the other teeth are blocking it!. But b4 you go in take 2 advil, and make sure you have advil with you all day!. And for lunch get pudding or something soft, lol when i tried to eat the first day it hurt to eat mashed potatoes!. The 2nd day is worse, then 3rd day is the peak!. Then every day from then it gets better!. Then eventually you feel nothing at all!. One thing is right when you get them in and you bite down it feels extremely weird, lol and you'll think you can never eat again, but trust me, in a few days it feels normal!. It's really no big deal, trust me, I've had mine on for three years now!. It takes about 30 minutes for them to put them on and it doesn't hurt until a couple hours later, then your teeth will be sore for a couple days and you will only be able to eat soft things!. If they ache just take an advil and you should be fine!.
I also had to get my gums cut open to allow my two eye teeth to come down, it also wasn't a big deal!. They completely froze my mouth and I didn't feel a thing!. It wasn't even sore afterwards!.

Can't asnwer about the one tooth because I'm not a dr!. but as far as getting the braces on, they glue each bracket to the teeth!. Doesn't hurt, but later on you will start getting headaches because you're not used to the pressure, so take tylenol!. And eat soft foods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i never got headaches and my teeth were hurting REAL bad on the 3rd day!!.!. but after a week i was good :) !.!.idk about the tooth thing!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
