Question: What is the process of getting a brace fitted!?
I am due to get a brace fitted in 4 weeks and would like to know how its done and if it hurts and how they actually straighten your teeth!. thanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

I got mine in march, I was really nervous!. But there's nothing to worry about, it'll take a little while!. First they clean your teeth really well, then they'll put some kind of jelly on your teeth (it stays when you get the brackets on)!. Then, they'll arrange the brackets in a way that's suitable for your teeth!. Then, after that, they put in a wire through the little holes in the brackets, and it stays there, sometimes the wire will poke you in the back of the mouth, but if it hurts, just tell them and they'll cut the wire!. My orthodontist is really gentle when i get my braces tightened!. The first few days will hurt and your teeth will be sore, but just drink something really cold, it helps a lot!. The wire that's attached to your brackets will "pull" the teeth in a way that adjusts them to be in the shape that it needs to be in!. They'll just keep tightening it (it doesn't hurt after wards at all!) and if you need it, they'll tell you to put rubber bands in your braces so that your bite can be adjusted!. It might hurt the first few days with the rubber band, and you'll wonder how you can last with them on your mouth, but once you get used to them, and the soreness goes away, it'll hurt more if you don't put the rubber band(s) in rather than if you do!. The rubber band pulls your jaw either forward or backward so you don't have one set of teeth overlapping the other set!. Good luck! Www@Answer-Health@Com
you go to the orthodontist!.!.!.!.!.they setup some x-rays, impressions (where you bite down on some stuff and it makes a mold of your mouth), they will apply some stuffto help with the adhesive of the actual metal squares (ligatures) that go on your teeth, they will thread the metal wire (archwire) throught the metal squares!.!.!.the archwire will then tighten or be tightened!.!.!.!.!.!.
they fix your teeth by applying pressure to shift your teeth slowly, kinda like how wood is bent, to much, to fast and youll break the wood, but slowly and over time it will change shape!.
