the iv sedation makes you sleep right thru the procedure!.
You could choose to have the surgery to remove the wisdom teeth while you are awake, but there would need to be lots of novacaine, and they can't do all the teeth at the same time!. So you would have to go back for each tooth to be removed!. Easier to get it done once!.
You can have someone in the waiting room while you have the short procedure, and someone will need to drive you home!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I worked in an office where these types of procedures were performed!. You are not ALL the way asleep!. You recieve medication that keeps you from remembering what happens!. If you are afraid, during your consultation, as the physician if a family member can be in the room with you!. The physician is usually the last one in the room, the first one out!. The assistants do not usually leave the doctor alone with you!. If it's the assistants you are worried about then have a family member stay with you!. Although I'm sure this has happened to people before, the probability of this occurring is slim!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

~I wouldn't allow it!. I wanted to be conscious and fully aware of what was going on (but numbed by a local)!. If the oral surgeon had argued the point, I'd have gone to someone else!. I won't let the dentist numb me for simple fillings because I want to feel what he's doing and where he's doing it (although I did condescend to let them use Novocain for the root canal)!.
If you want to be put under, rethink it!. It was kinda fun to hear that saw, smell the burning enamel and to watch the blood and pieces of shattered teeth fly across the room and when he had to climb up on the chair with me to get leverage for the hammer and chisel, I had all I could do to keep from laughing!. Not to mention the dangers of anesthesia!.

They do not have to, but it would be in your best interest to do so!. Depending on how big your mouth is, they may have to cut them out!. The experience is so painful that you would want to be put to sleep!. If you are that uncomfortable with your dentist you may need to find another one!. Also, you may be able to have someone in the room with you for the procedure!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yup, you're knocked out like a child on Nyquil!.!.!.the doctor usually has assistants (usually female) around so don't worry about indecency
When I got my wisdom teeth taken out, I woke up in a stupor obviously!. I hallucinated a little!. I saw a big hole open up in the ceiling, two Gollum-like creatures were growling and circling it, then they both jumped in the hole and the hole closed up!. It was weird!

I had mine taken out a while back, they put you under but you are not fully out!. I sat up in a chair and all I could feel was the dental surgeons hand near my mouth!. I could see and I could hear but I felt absolutely no pain, I could move my arms and legs as well!. So please do not worry, they cannot do anything improper!. Yes, you'll be out of it the whole time!. A anesthesiologist will give you an iv and you will wake up drowsy and soar after!. If you're worried about a malpractice case, go to an Oral Surgeon who you have been recommended by family and friends to, and/or make sure family is in the room during the procedure!. your not FULLY asleep, and dont worry they wont do anything because there usually in there with someone watching them and your parants(if yor a kid) or who ever if any one is with you is there they can always talk the doctor!.

yes ALL THE WAY!.!.!. but I had 2 pulled before and they just numbed it, I didnt feel anything!. but a bit of pressure, Zero pain!. thats your other option!.!.!. They take a needle, stick it in your gums!.!.!. and it goes numb in like 3 minutes, they wait 10, go in and are done in less then 15!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have never been put to sleep for that reason, i had my gums numb and u won't be able tofeel a thing and you can see everything that goes on!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
