I had mine removed on a Wednesday, all four, bottom were extremely impacted!. I was out Thursday night with my friends!. They gave me three meds, an antibiotic, a pain killer, and a steroid!. I got put under, literally - the doctor came in, asked if I had any other questions, we talked a little, inserted the needle, they went to put the oxygen on me, and I was outtttttt! Next thing I know they were waking me up, saying they were done!. I don't remember a thing!. I had no blood (except for the removal of gauze an hour after the procedure), and I didn't swell (they gave me Dexamethasone to prevent/help swelling)!. The pain meds (if its Vicodin/Norco/Loratab/Percocet/Tylenol 3,etc!.) can give you a fuzzy feeling, make you a little dizzy, can make you constipated, itchy, etc, but I slept mine off -- so no major problems!. Use ice in intervals of 15 on, 15 off (I used frozen corn, it models to your face easily)!.

No straws/mouthwash for two weeks; but you can rinse with salt water!.

I was definitely worried, as well, and had no reason to be! It wasn't the big deal everyone makes it out to be (for me at least [my boyfriend was the same way I was, fine two days later])!.

All the best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should ask to have the laughing gas!. it really relaxes you before they get started!. i just had my last three taken out by the oral surgeon!. the only real time it hurt was when they were giving me the shots at all three teeth!. i almost cried!. that's just being honest!. but the pain is over quick, and they give you time to sit and let everything work!. when they were pulling them out i didn't have any pain, just a little pressure!. if you can, try to get your pain prescriptions before you have the surgery!. otherwise you're waiting in line at walmart hoping the novicaine doesn't wear off too soon!. also make sure they give you good ones, don't let them try mild ones first!. loritab, or vicodin is good!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi,
I had all 4 of mine removed when I was 17!. I had it done under general anesthesia (I was totally asleep) so I didn't feel a thing!. Afterward there was a little dizziness for an hour from the drugs and some minor throbbing for a day or 2, but an ibuprofen tablet takes easy care of that!. I would call my experience a non-event, not a big deal at all!.
If you go this route you will need someone to drive you home!.
Hope this helps!.

I had the same situation!. Trust me, you want all 4 out at once!. It wasn't as bad as I thought is would be!. The worst part was not eating for days(except smoothies)!. I had little pain!. As for the surgery itself, I was put under, so there really isn't much to tell!. Wasn't bad afterward!. A lot of bleeding!. Nothing to be very worried about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
