Answers:
I got nitrous oxide!.!.!.laughing gas!.!.!.

no problem went shopping!.

Just plan on ice, ice cream and relaxing!.!. but I'll look it up for you!.

*****************************
I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed, plus 10 more teeth!.

This being said, I survived on "intelligent" soft food only for 5 weeks without losing ONE single pound!.

My advice for you:
1) learn to eat soups (ANY kind of soup will be fine)
2) the blender is your friend!.!.!. buy the same food that you eat on regular basis and blend it in shakes, pates
3) add protein powders to your regular food, get several, many flavors and put some of them in EVERY food (ice cream included)
4) broaden your horizon to soy milk, miso soup, coconut milk and all sorts of ethnic food

The only problem you will have is, you will feel without energy because most starchy food need to be chewed!. BUT you can get around it by eating mashed potatoes pretty often!.

The actual procedure itself really isn't that bad, especially if your having laughing gas or being put to sleep!. If your like me whose wisdom teeth hadn't come out of the gums yet and just opted for the numbing, then it'll hurt a lot during the first part of the procedure when they numb you!. After that it was just weird and uncomfortable to have all that stuff in your mouth!. But like I said, if you go with the laughing gas or being put to sleep, you'll be fine!. Afterwards you'll bleed for an hour or two, so for me that was such a pain since I can't stand having cotton in my mouth, but the blood clears up fairly quickly!. I highly suggest taking pain killers before you go in (check to make sure but you should be fine to take them) because I didn't and regretted it!. I didn't take pain killers until two or three hours after the procedure when I stopped bleeding and the numbing had worn off, and the pain was terrible!. The pain killers kicked in after half and hour, and ice helped during that time, but try not to have to go through that if you can!. Otherwise just eat soft food for a couple of days (foods like shakes, yogurts, apple sauce, etc), listen and obey to all the instructions your given when your there, and just lay low for a couple of days!. You'll look like a chipmunk for a couple of days also just to warn you!. You'll be able to sleep fine!. I was sleeping by late afternoon once my pain killers kicked in!. Good luck, I'm sure you'll do fine!. If you have any more questions feel free to email me!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

i had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed, and personally it was horrible!. but my dentist gave me meds to calm me down that i took the night before and the mornig of which helped calm my nerves!. and i also had anesthesia so i only remember parts or the day happily!. you will have gauze in your cheeks for the first day!. all i could eat was soup, jello, things like that!. it took me a little over a week to be able to eat something else, but it would have to be soft!. i was out of work for 2 weeks!. i could barely talk and when i did finally start talking if i talked to much then it hurt extremely bad, and you have to talk to loosen your jaw or something!. i just layed in bed and took vicodin for a while!. use a heating pad on your cheeks for a while!. just go with what you feel, you will know what you can and cant do, good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

WELL IT DEPENDS ON HOW THEY ARE EXTRACTED!.
IF THEY ARE SURGICALLY DONE IT WILL BE VERY TENDER BUT NOT PAIN FULL YOU SHOULD AVOID SMOKING, SPITING, AND DRINKING THREW A STRAW FOR 24 HOURS, IN ORDER TO AVOID A DRY SOCKET!.
YOU SHOULD BE OK BY THE NEXT DAY BUT YOU DO NEED TO STAY AWAY FROM ANY KINDS OF FOOD THAT CAN BREAK UP IN TO LITTLE PIECES AND GET LODGED IN THE EXTRACTION SITE!.
LIKE CHIPS AND RICE!.
YOU DON'T NEED TO EAT ONLY SOUP SOFT FOOD LIKE MASH POTATOES, MAC AND CHEESE, SOFT CHICKEN, ECT!.!.!.
IF YOU HAVE ANY EXTREME PAIN AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE LIKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU HEART IS POUNDING IN YOUR MOUTH RETURN TO YOU DENTIST RITE AWAY!!!! YOU HAVE A DRY SOCKET AND WILL NEED THEM TO PACK IT!. IT WILL NOT GO AWAY ON ITS OWN!.
HOPE THIS HELPS AND GOOD LUCK ON MONDAY!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Relax!.!.!.

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled (2 were 'impacted') and I slept through the whole thing!. When I woke up I had no discomfort at all!. None! I did have 4 holes in my gums where my teeth were but they eventually closed up!. That night I slept fine!. The Doctor did prescribe pain medication but I never even came close to needing it!.

Even if I did have any discomfort that night I could have taken a pain med and that would've let me sleep comfortably!.

Just make sure you have someone to drive you home afterwards, and be aware that on the way home you'll have to fill a prescription for your pain meds!. Some people complain of nausea from the anesthesia but I think it's pretty rare!.

I was eating regular food right away!. You don't use those back teeth much for eating anyway!. The only problem I had was food getting

Seriously it's not that bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I got all of mine cut out (not pulled)!. The anethesia was amazing and I took some of the pain meds as soon as I left the surgeon so I didn't feel anything until a day or so after when the pain meds they gave me stopped being effective (I first got Hydrocodone)!. I called my doc and he prescribed me Percocet and that's stuff is amazinggggg!.!.!. I slept fine all the time, it just took a little adjusting to not sleeping on either or your cheeks but it never woke me up!.

It took me about 5 days to recover until I got an infection in one of the sites and it got swollen again, I went back to the doc and he lanced it and had to pack it again, that was AWFUL but it doesn't happen that often (so I hear)!.

I ate a lot of apple sauce the first 2 of days because you can chew or help anything down your throat, it has to just slide down!. After I stopped needing the gauze, I ate cold mashed potatoes and baby food!. It sounds gross but you will definitely get tired of the same flavors!.

And remember, drink LOTS of water to avoid infections! Good luck ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had my teeth removed as an adult!. They became impacted and just a pain to live with!. Everyone told me about the pain and I had "nursed" a few friends when they had theirs done,so I knew what to expect!. I had deep roots, had 4 teeth pulled and it took 4 hrs with two people taking turns!.
I had laughing gas and that was pleasant!.
After that wore off, yes,I was in some pain!.I drank soup, smoothies, ensure, and shakes!.

I thin they gave me Tylenol with codeine, but I am allergic,so they gave me another pain med!. I can't remember if that worked!.

I think the best thing to do,is just to stock up on what you would like to drink for a few days!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it wasnt too bad for me!. i actually healed faster than most people, so i was told but usually people heal within 3 days!. after the surgery, all i did was sleep, surgery can seriously tire you out!. i didnt get the bruising like they mentioned when i went in for my consultation!. as long as you eat easy to swallow, soft food, youre good!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

My dentist recommended me to do one side at a time, so I could eat and chew with another healthy side!. So I did my right side first and then my left one in a week and a half!. That is how long it took for the right side to recover!. And don't worry, it doesn't really hurt, because of the pain reliever!. Just feels a little weired!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've had 1 taken out!. Mine had cut through the gum, so I didn't need stitches!. I ate jello and pudding for a few days!. You can't drink from a straw and no lolli pops!. It looks scary, but it really doesn't hurt!. Make sure you close your eyes when they give you the shot!. The worst part is having bad breathe/ bad tastein your mouth!. The most soothing thing for it is to gargle with salt water!. Do it several times a day, it feels good, and makes your mouth taste better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesnt hurt, but damn it is scary!.!.!.I mean what if the novacain stops working in the middle of the extraction!?!?!? What if the tooth breaks as they're pulling it out!? WHat if you swallow *gulp* too much blood and DIE! Good luck!
:)Www@Answer-Health@Com

other than soup, i had smoothies and applesauce and thats about it lol!.
it took me about three days to fully recover!. i think i slept fine tho cuz the stuff they give you makes you really sleepyWww@Answer-Health@Com

The drugs they give you are amazing :P you'll be sore for a about a week!. Eating nothing but pudding and smoothies :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
