Wow, that's toughy, but normal!.

I was very lucky as a child that my dentist was (and still is) a very kind, and gentle man!.!.!.I now see his son!. But at the office they had a "treasure chest," and after your appointment you could get a toy!. Haha, a little old for that now!.

However, talking to your dentist in an office, not an exam room, is good advice!. Seeing a doctor as a PERSON and CAREGIVER sometimes helps put you at ease instead of seeing them as a dentist in a cold, sterile, room!.

I would call the office, tell them your issue, and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to help you!. Remember, that's what they're all there for!.!.!.to help you, not make you uncomfortable!.

And also, the better care you take of your teeth, the less procedures you have to have done, therefore, no pain!

Good luck tomorrow!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hello!.!.!.The reality is that your reacting to the age old idea that "pain & dentist" are the same thing!.!.!.!.That is totally untrue these day's!.!.!.the other thing is that you fear needles and again that is really an over blown fear!.!.!.The fact is, dentist use some of the thinnest needles used in any health office and the anesthetic is faster than most!.!.!.If people would tell it like it is, the vast majority don't feel anything but a little pressure against the tissue when they get the dental injection!.!.!.!.It's almost considered as being a traitor to society's thinking if you admit that going to the dentist is not related to pain!.!.!.You will do fine, relax and know the axiom "painless dentistry" is a true fact these day's!.!.!.Good luck and I wish you well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is normal to fear dentists, especially our NHS cowboys!. The only tip I can offer is, if you are in a lot of pain then it cant get any worse, can it :) I should add, if your dentist is any good at all, s/he should offer you a tranqualiser to relax you followed by tons of encouragement and reassurances!. But these days they want you in and out conveyor belt style, no time for treating people properly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
