Question: I got a cavity filled a week ago and my mouth still hurts!?
I got a cavity filled a week ago and ever since then every time I open my mouth (to talk, eat, whatever) it's VERY painful!. Is that normal after a week has gone by!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. does it hurt when you bit down!?
If it does then your filling is too high!. Your dentist will just take his high speed hand piece & adjust it for you!. He will tell you to bite down & you should feel better!.
2!. Or you could have an infection!.
3!. You may have bit down real hard and bruised the Periodontal Ligament, in which case it will be sore for about a week & then the soreness will go away on it's own!.

Everyone here is giving you good advice!. A filled cavity should not hurt for more than a few hours!. Call the office and tell them the situation and that you need to see him ASAP!. Don't let them put you off, claiming no time or anything, consider it an emergency!.
Pain killers may be in order to control the ache!. I like Motrin or Advil!. Take the max recommended up front, that should be enough considering your size, I'm guessing by your photo!. If that doesn't work for me, I take more halfway through the dosage period, but I am a big guy!.

Darling please call your Dentist and tell him he left a nerve out in the open!. The cold air is acting upon the nerve and making you miserable! His responsibility is to your comfort and only to that now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
No it is not normal to have it still hurt!. The dentist has either exposed a nerve or filled the wrong tooth! Make an appointment asap and tell them your problem and they will fit you in as an emergency!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
