After tooth extraction?!

Question: After tooth extraction!?
I just had the last molar in the left upper side pulled!. The dentist said there is nothing more to do (no artificial replacement needed)!. What happens to the tissue around where the tooth was!? Does the gum area grow around and fill in the space!? I forgot to ask the dentist this today!. I am 54 yrs old and this is my first tooth pulling!.

you gums will heal in time but not over night make sure you don't eat any solid foods for a few days and don't eat anything that could get longed in the are the tooth was if you do you could have the blood clot that forms there after a few hours of the tooth pulling, if that clot is not there you could get dry socket and that is very painful you will have to go to the dentist and get some stuff for the dry socket!.!.!.but pain after the tooth is pulled is normal for two days after the extraction but any pain lasting more then is usually Dry socket!.!.!.plus don't drink out of straws or have any soda this will help dry socket!.!.!.!.!.I have been through dry socket!.!.!.in my opinion I would rather go through birth of a baby then have that again!.!.!.!.it will take about a month for the gum to come together and close the area where you tooth was token!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

G&R is correct!. Do not forget!.!.!.!.!.Do not drink from a straw, or smoke cigarettes or anything involving suction for at least a day!. A blood clot will form over the tooth hole!. You do not want this to "pop!." this is how your hole will heal!.
If you do not follow these directions, you could get a dry socket and will have to go back and get your tooth hole repacked which is not pleasant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Basically the gums will heal over the socket!. It takes about a good month for the area to totally heal!. You'll be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
