Question: A question about "rubber bands"!?
I got braces 2 weeks ago!.!. but when I got the braces I had it without the rubber band!.!. I was wondering why the dendist didnt put the rubber band with the braces on my teeth!.!. is the rubber band importnat!? and wat does it do!?!?

You don't always need them!. For example, my dentists gave me braces but I don't have rubber bands!. My dentist said the rubber band is just there to color up your mouth!. You know get different colors!. And you shouldn't be worried because the rubber bands usually attracts dirt that sticks to the material and it stinks up the mouth!. Haven't you noticed how a lot of people with braces have either dirty or stinky mouths!? It usually caused by the rubber!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
the rubber bands come in a packet!.!.!. and if you need them the dentist will give you some!.!. your meant to take them out when you eat and brush your teeth!.!. and rubber bands are painful sometimes!. The rubber band is only if your teeth are positioned too far up, it help to 'pull' them down without surgery or thicker wires through the bracketsWww@Answer-Health@Com
do you mean the rubber bands that go between the top and bottom rows of braces!?
usually they're used to align someone's jaw position, and they usually are not used until after a person has been wearing braces for awhile because it doesn't take too long to fix!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

im assuming you mean the ones that join top to bottom
these align your teeth to make a better bite if yours is over or under
