Do you use alcohol free mouthwash on a new monroe piercing?!


Question: Do you use alcohol free mouthwash on a new monroe piercing!?
I got my monroe piercing yesterday and the piercer told me to use listerine mouthwash or an off brand mouthwash but does it matter if it has alcohol in it because the listerine I got does not say alcohol free and I found some bictine alcohol free mouthwash or whatever the heck that stuff is called it might be biotone or something but yeah am I suppose to have alcohol free mouthwashWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would not use a product that has alcohol in it because most likely it will burn! My suggestion, and I have used this on my piercing, is sea salt and water!. If you can soak the area for 30 minutes a day! I know it seems like a lot but it really helps! I had to stick my ear in there for that long! 2nd thing to do is get a saline rinse and clean your piercing with it three times a day!. 3rd get A&D ointment and put it on there about 2 times a day!. I have quite a few piercings and I love this way of helping it heal!. My best friend and I got a bar bell in our ear and mine healed quicker because I followed the above instructions! Good Luck!.!.!.

I suggest you use Povidone- Iodine mouthwash (e!.g!. Oral Betadine), any brand would do!. It's more effective in preventing infection compared to Chlorhexidine( e!.g!. Listerine)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
