Okay, i need to know what the thing the bands on braces hook onto!. NO I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE HOOKS ON THE BRACKETS!. there is another metal covering on my back molar that surrounds the molar!. it has a hook on it and thats what i hook part of my band to!. your molars have whats called molar bands placed around them!. On the cheek side of the molar bands there is the buccal tube (which is where the wire is placed into) & then there is the bracket hook or band extension hook (both terms mean the same thing)!.
