I agree with going with an oral surgeon if you can afford it!. If not, find a highly recommended dentist!. You are above the age for a typical easy recovery!. Not that 40 is old but the dr!. can have a more difficult time getting the teeth out and you can be looking at a longer recovery!. Better than 60 eh!? There's not a whole lot you can do since it really is up to the expertise of the person pulling the teeth!.

You can get different levels of anesthesia from getting fully knocked out to laughing gas!. I'd recommend what you can afford!. On a related subject you can ask the dr to prescribe medication for anxiety such as Valium for you to take the night before and day of extraction!. Try not to worry about it!. It's really not too big a deal!.

Keep the sites clean after extraction!. Ask for a water syringe from the dr!. Use it multiple times a day to rinse the extraction site with warm salt water!. Dry sockets are horrible!.

best and first advice is to choose a clever oral surgeon lol, but it depends on their position in the jaw, some discomfort and pain may develop after removal specially if removed surgically, swelling may develop for few days but not due to infection but due to trauma (oral surgery is a kind of trauma), the sooner the betterWww@Answer-Health@Com

get an oral and maxillofacial surgeon to do it!. these people has a title, MDS(Oral and maxillofacial surgery) in their cards!.
never get a dental surgeon to remove them as these are dental general practitioners and not as experience as the oral surgeonWww@Answer-Health@Com
