Question: Questions about my permanent retainer!!?
I got my braces off yesterday and they put a permanent retainer on the top and bottom teeth!. My teeth still feel really slimey and smooth!. It's a little painful to chew with most of my front teeth!. I can't bite into anything with my front teeth!.
How long will it take for it to stop hurting when I use my front teeth!?
How long until I get used to the!.!.!.texture of my teeth!?
Will I ever be able to bite into a hamburger or an apple without it hurting or putting too much pressure on the wires!?
Am I really going to have to wear this thing for most of my life!?

i have a permanent retainer also, Im not sure how long it will take till it stops hurting it will just be like when you had braces(when they hurt)
My teeth felt like that also but i just eventually got use to it!.
yes you will be able to eat apple and hamburgers, i can eat apples and it dont hurt at all!.
It just depends on your dentist and your teeth, my dentist said i will have to wear mine for pretty much all of my life, only because my teeth keep moving if i dont have a retainer!.

the pain will go away soon!. dont worry about it
and however long it took you to get used to the texture of your braces, itll take around that amount of time for you to get used to your teeth without them

After a while you only have to wear the retainer at night!. Yes you will get used to the texture of your teeth and pain will subside in about a week!. Just rinse with salt water if there is any bleeding or rubbing and take some advil for the pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
