Local anaesthesia wearing off?!

Question: Local anaesthesia wearing off!?
I was at my dentist this morning for a filling and obviously he numbed my mouth!. I've had plenty proceedures done before but the numbness for this one seems to be lasting quite a long time!. Is there something I could do to help it pass on, I've tried drinking hot coffee which usually helps but nothing this time!.
Any help would be appreciated as I've a parent teacher meeting this afternoon and I'll be a right sad case as I'm also on crutches so I could do without the frozen mouth too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

On timescales - even if the dentist filled your face to the brim it should have worn off after 4 hours or so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This too shall pass!. If you show up at the meeting on crutches and with a warbling voice due to anesthesia!.!.!.just tell the audience and make fun of it, because an audience is usually sympathetic for any speaker who is obviously themselves!. Something like "I apologize for my poor enunciation, but you see, I was at the dentist and he Novocained me to keep me quiet!."
