Answers:
Yes, as with any restoration, the sensitivity to hot and cold will settle down given time!. For the next few weeks you may want to try avoiding hot/cold foods and drinks on these teeth allowing them the time to settle down!.

If you are experiencing pain; if it seems to hurt more when chewing, when you bite together or close on these teeth, then you may need an occlusal adjustment!. This is a common problem with newly restored teeth and can be taken care of easily by your dentist!.

Additional information: Amalgam restorations have been approved by the ADA for use in dental restorations for many years and are considered perfectly safe for this purpose!. There are always those who choose to believe otherwise and they can always request composite restorations be placed instead of the standard amalgam in most all molar restorations!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They still use amalgams!? I would do some research on the ingredient used in theses fillings called Mercury!. Known as one of the world's most toxic substance!.

They stopped using mercury to line the inside of hats decades ago because it would penetrate into the persons brain and make them go crazy (Mad Hatters)!.

But placing them in the mouth where it has access to the nerves and where the vapor can be released by chewing gum, acids, hot/cold food/liquids!.!.!.this is apparently "safe"!.

Look into this darl!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
