Answers:
It's not a big deal but your dentist will advise you not to chew gums while wearing braces!. It will save him from taking the gum out in case it gets stucked in the metal because it's hard to remove!. Personally, I tried wearing braces and chewing gum, it was fine!. But you just have to be careful!. There are lots of sugarless gums available in the market!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, you CAN chew gum with braces!.

But whether you SHOULD is a different question altogether!.

If you are chewing gum with braces on, you'll have to be extremely careful not to get it stuck!. It's all too easy to get gum stuck in the wires, and accidentally pull off brackets trying to get it out!. Then it'll be another unpleasant visit to the orthodontist to get it repaired!.

So, if you are going to chew gum, do it sparingly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go for it!. Not right away - wait a couple of weeks!. Sugarless gums are fine!. Some of the sugared ones tend to be stickier!.

As a matter of fact, I've found that I can eat any darned thing I want to, so long as my teeth aren't actually hurting at the time!. I'm close to the end of my treatment and I'm paying for them myself so I have no need to obey!.

I don't do popcorn because that would just be a flossing nightmare, but there was no way I was going to make it past another October without a caramel apple!. I had to bite it more with my lower teeth, but it wasn't a problem at all!. Same for corn on the cob!.

So long as your teeth don't hurt, you can do and eat almost anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
