Root canals usually take 1 one hour appointment, although it can take up to 2-3 one hour appointments (depends on the tooth and if there is an infection)!. I would count on one visit to complete a RCT, that's the usual!. Now remember that you still have to go back to the dentist so that he can either fill it or put a post/core and crown on the tooth!. What is ur case!? Is it an anterior (usually single rooted), a posterior (multilpe roots)!? Is it a non vital (dead pulp) or is it vital (nerve is alive)!. Has it been hurting, is there an active abscess!?!. So it could be done in one hour appt or else it could take more appts!. A vital tooth needs local anesthesia!. A nonvital doesn't!. I've had two!. First one took three visits and second one took four!. They are not very painful so don't be too scared, they are just time consuming and expensive! Good luck and I hope it goes well for you!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, when I had mine done it took in total 3 visit, one extra was because my anti bio tics didn't work, but they were in like the same week, :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
