How long for swelling to go down after infected molar pulled?!

Question: How long for swelling to go down after infected molar pulled!?
I had an abscessed back molar!.!.!.it was really really bad!.!.!.rather than spend 2K on a root canal and crown, I chose to have it pulled!. That was Tuesday, today is Sunday morning!. My cheek seems to still be a little swollen!. How long should I expect to have swelling!? I have seen a general guideline of four days but is it longer if the tooth was abscess when it was pulled!? The pain has just about subsided at this point so I am not too worried that it is more than just swelling but wondering if infection in the gum when the tooth was pulled makes the swelling last longer!?

I have been on antibiotics since the day before the extraction as well as pain killers!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
There could have been bruising on the cheek (inside too) from the effort of having it pulled, so it may take a bit longer, but I would think that it should be pretty much back to normal by today!.
Have you been icing it!? Bag of frozen peas on the cheek could help!. If it isn't better by Monday then go back to make sure there is no residual problem!.
Also, get some other opinions from friends/family!. It may not be swollen at all but you are just thinking it is , that is common too!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Here is a resource I came across!. I has a lot of catagories and covers a wide range of Back Pain topics!.
