Go to your dentist!. Depending on how badly your tooth has been chipped, the weaker and more fragile part of your tooth (found below the very hard outer enamel) may be exposed!. This can cause a great deal of pain if damaged too badly!. Also, depending on how much of the tooth you chipped off, more of the tooth could chip away if don't go to the dentist and you eat certain things after a period of time!. That will be more annoying, not to mention a bit painful!.
I know personally how annoying sharp edges in your mouth can be, as it can cause irritations on your tongue and also the inside of your cheeks or lips!.
Please go see your dentist!. Having a chipped tooth fixed is actually rather inexpensive, and is always better in the long run (no further damage to your tooth, and no more irritation to the inside of your mouth!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The dentist can fix it, and that is probably what you want, but if you don't mind a chipped tooth, I guess you can wait until the enamel heals over the chipped part, I think they sell some kind of enamel for teeth at drug stores!.
I know that food grade clove oil can take away pain, the pharmacy has it, if you have too much pain while waiting for the dental appointment!.

You need to see a dentist!. If it hurts that means that the root is exposed and you run the risk of developing an abscess and losing the tooth altogether!. You may need bonding or a cap!. Worst case scenario is you need a root canal (which isn't terribly awful with proper pain management)!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
go to the dentist, because when u got a chipped tooth, the nerve endings are exposed, and that can potentially mean horrible pain!. And tooth pain is comparable to someone tying a rope around your junk and dragging you through the streets with a pickup truck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Uh, make an appointment with a dentist!? Stop rubbing it with your tongue!. If the gum hurts take an aspirin and sort of hold it on that part, it will taste nasty but will sort of numb the pain, or better yet get some ambisol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think if its really irritating and hurts a lot go down to your dentist and just show him/her and he will give you some advice about what to do!.
