Question: I lost my retainer and my tooth moved!?
I had braces on my front four teeth when I was eight years old!. I'm 19 now and I lost my retainer about 4 years ago when I moved!. I don't have to get braces again, right!? Would getting a new retainer move it back!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

a space maintainer is used to keep a space open for another tooth to erupt so I don't think you need that!. Sounds like your original treatment was light so a retainer may be able to get you back together!. Don't wait too long though because it's just going to get worse!. Your teeth want to move back to where they came from!. Call an orthodontist today and make an appointment!. Retainers can help move teeth back to where they are supposed to be, yes - but the only person who would be able to tell you if you need to get full-braces again would be an orthodontist!. Give one a call and tell them you lost your retainer and your teeth have moved!.
