Question: How come gum wrappers hurt my fillings!?
Whenever I chew gum and I don't get all of the wrapper off, I feel this sharp pain that runs through my tooth into my jaw!. What causes this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is the gum wrapper metallic!? Sometimes the metal combined with the electrolytes in your saliva can create a galvanic current (electron flow) that passes through the filling and into the nerve of the tooth!. Chewing on aluminium foil would have the same effect!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
